Brief History of Screenwise Windscreens.

Screenwise Windscreens was formed by Steve Wise in May of 2004.

Steve has been in the windscreen industry since 1979 where he started as a trainee for B&B windscreens a small company in Chelmsford. This is where Steve got his experience fitting glass to vehicles such as Ford Zephyrs, Granada’s, MG Midgets, MGB's, Rover SDI and all the classic cars of today.

Whilst working for Silver Shield Steve fitted glass to most makes and models of vehicles up to the present time, Steve was a valued member of staff and was around at the time when the windscreen repair system was introduced in to the market in 1992.

Steve also gained a lot of experience with the fitment of side door glasses to vehicles having whilst working in the London area where vandalism to car windows is quite high.

In 1997 I had a brief change of trade when I trained as a car valeter for Clean Image in Chelmsford where cars are cleaned to the highest standard, so you never know I may be able to help and give friendly advice on your car.

In 2000 I came back to the windscreen industry and in may of 2004 I decided to start my own business called Screenwise Windscreens offering windscreen repair and replacement for Chelmsford in Essex.

Over the past year we have taken work on for numerous dealerships including Vauxhall, Mercedes, Skoda, Ford and various bodyshops where we can arrange to do removal of glass and refitments.

3. If we could save your windscreen by way of a repair we would do so, if you are not happy with the windscreen repair we can then replace the windscreen for you there and then, if we did this we would not charge you for the repair part of the job.
